As tall as trees do these beings stand
But firmly rooted in arid soils
Hardly able to sustain
Anything that resembles life
As no light shines through their crowns
And no winds rustle their leaves
They let loose their seeds
To more hopeful grounds
But never again, they know
Will they themselves move
As lost as ships in starless oceans
Are these beings, navigating
Through the blackness, anchorless
As though on a mission
Of any consequence
Their anchors have not been lost,
No – they have never existed
Not because they are not needed,
No – But because there are no harbours
In which to cast them

Darkness floods the veins, dripping pain and futility. Disfigured by own existence, crawling into muds of hopelessness and emotional desolation. This is Acathexis, an overwhelmingly woeful and perfect black metal expression. Truly special in every way! Umbra Cornuta

This has got to be one of the best crafted and thought out black metal records in recent memory. It's the equivalent of staring right into the void and being sucked into it.
From the distant yet oppressive cold atmospheres, to the anguished vocals, clever arrangements and a splendid drum performance, Guðveiki completely succeeds in trapping you in its sound world.
It's an impressive achievement. Cosmographer

Tbh, I love Bexadde. But 2022 has been already full of this kind of music and I don't want to overdo it. So Bexadde will have to wait and for starters, this, which is also great, but differently. Simpler. YomaBarr
